But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermes Fernandes couldn't finish the play. Ademar Caiado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gastão Lemos struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Afonso Peralta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FABUNCHO FC. In the 15th minute Hermes Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Peralta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FABUNCHO FC's Ademar Caiado got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Raul Quaresma came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FABUNCHO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Quaresma couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar Caiado in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Peralta saved Lagomar FC from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, Ademar Caiado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FABUNCHO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 29thth minute of the game Ademar Caiado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lagomar FC's Afonso Peralta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 30 played minutes Lagomar FC got a freekick which was hit by Juliano Vaz. After a defensive mix-up in Lagomar FC's zone, Ademar Caiado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Peralta came out of the goal and Ademar Caiado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute of the match Gastão Lemos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Peralta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Ademar Caiado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FABUNCHO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ademar Caiado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute of the game Nicolau Sacramento made a throw-in which Cristiano Corte-Real played forward. After a defensive mix-up in Lagomar FC's zone, Ademar Caiado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Peralta came out of the goal and Ademar Caiado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Hermes Fernandes made a precise shot to the right of Afonso Peralta. Lagomar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After the first half FABUNCHO FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ademar Caiado made the kick off in the second half. When FABUNCHO FC's Ademar Caiado in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 66th minute Quintino Caldas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Aires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ademar Caiado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Ademar Caiado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ademar Caiado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Afonso Peralta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrik Haeger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Peralta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FABUNCHO FC. When the final whistle sounded FABUNCHO FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lagomar FC.
