Lúcio Branco struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Lucílio Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oeiras United Lions. Raul Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucílio Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. If Gonçalo Macieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio Branco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucílio Saldanha having to make a save. Lucílio Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Branco in the 43rd minute of play. When Alex Borges fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spartak do Porto's protests and gave Alex Borges a yellow card for diving instead. Raul Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Sten Muren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Sten Muren came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Spartak do Porto's Cristiano Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Cristiano Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Lúcio Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oeiras United Lions's goalkeeper Sten Muren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emanuel Nunes charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Nunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes Oeiras United Lions got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Nunes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Ribeiro in the 82nd minute of play forced Oeiras United Lions's goalkeeper Sten Muren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Roberto Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lúcio Branco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 90th playminute. Sten Muren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Ribeiro in the 95th minute of play. The Oeiras United Lions players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Spartak do Porto from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
