In the 10th minute of the match, Domingos Resende tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ramiro Torcato saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ramiro Torcato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Neto in the 19th minute. In the 19th minute, Filipe Cortez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Gamelas's Domingos Resende got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Rogério Abreu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ramiro Torcato was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ramiro Torcato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Resende in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Filipe Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gamelas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Moutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramiro Torcato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Resende, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the game, SC Gamelas's Luís Neto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramiro Torcato made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Filipe Cortez struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Tiago Paredes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Courelas FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domingos Resende was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Resende in the 51st minute of play forced Courelas FC's goalkeeper Ramiro Torcato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Domingos Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Domingos Resende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gamelas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Resende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
