Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Saxolas SX's Domingos Moutinho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Roubado's goalkeeper Hermenegildo Galvão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Teodoro Sabrosa came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Saxolas SX fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Sabrosa couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the game, Cesário Soveral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saxolas SX's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Roubado the free kick. 26 minutes into the match, Sporting Roubado's goalkeeper Hermenegildo Galvão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodoro Sabrosa. Emílio Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Vilanova having to interfere. Emílio Delgado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Vilanova read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Delgado in the 38th minute of play forced Saxolas SX's goalkeeper Pedro Vilanova to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerónimo lacerda in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Vilanova saved Saxolas SX from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emílio Delgado in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Vilanova prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Emílio Delgado made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Valentim Varanda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Roubado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saxolas SX the free kick. Valentim Varanda hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Domingos Moutinho struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Hermenegildo Galvão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saxolas SX. Hermenegildo Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Moutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute, Damião Rebelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute of the match Altino Melo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermenegildo Galvão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 64th match minute, Sporting Roubado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Novais to maneuver through the defense. Jerónimo lacerda might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Vilanova. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerónimo lacerda ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute, Altino Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Emílio Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78thth minute of the game Emílio Delgado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saxolas SX's Pedro Vilanova was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teodoro Sabrosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Domingos Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Moutinho in the 91st minute of play forced Sporting Roubado's goalkeeper Hermenegildo Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Sporting Roubado supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sporting Roubado would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
