Marco Machado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Benedito getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Óscar Leão hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ralde's zone, Oliveira Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Frois came out of the goal and Oliveira Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the game, Marco Machado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Frois. SC Ralde's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Menezes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliveira Figueiredo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Frois having to make a save. Marco Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Luís Frois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Frois having to interfere. Luís Frois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Marco Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Frois made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Oliveira Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Ralde's goalkeeper Luís Frois, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marco Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

SC Ralde's Luís Frois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Machado in the 58th minute of play. Marco Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Vital's late challenge caught a Benedito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kevin Vital helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of SC Ralde:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Benedito:s goal. Daniel Luz placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Oliveira Figueiredo scored 3-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Frois, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oliveira Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Luís Frois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marco Machado got free in front of the goal in the 74th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Luís Frois was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 80 minutes, Eusébio Menezes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Ralde and the Benedito players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute Marco Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Frois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Oliveira Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Benedito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Luís Frois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Frois prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 97 played minutes Benedito got a freekick which was hit by Marco Machado. Marco Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Frois having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Benedito players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
