Spectators: 6668 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. André Barbosa started the match with the kick off. Alexandre Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwan Laba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vilarandelo FC's Heitor Lisboa got a free kick in the 5th minute. Alexandre Dias came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Chaveiral FC's Iwan Laba. But to his dismay, Iwan Laba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alexandre Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwan Laba in the 17th minute of play. Francisco Pinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Dias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Pinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Iwan Laba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Alexandre Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 minutes, Heitor Lisboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vilarandelo FC and the Chaveiral FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes Vilarandelo FC got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Lisboa. 26 minutes into the match, Chaveiral FC's goalkeeper Simão Domingues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Santos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeu Amorim got free with Simão Domingues in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simão Domingues made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Carlos Santos sent off a good shot on target. Simão Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Gilberto Eliazar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandre Dias having to make a save. After 37 minutes, Carlos Cardoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vilarandelo FC and the Chaveiral FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vilarandelo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Alexandre Dias went to the wrong direction when Iwan Laba was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 40 minutes of play, Vilarandelo FC's Amadeu Amorim made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simão Domingues was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iwan Laba made a kick off. Simão Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heitor Lisboa in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 56th match minute, Vilarandelo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Santos to maneuver through the defense. Vilarandelo FC's Alexandre Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Eliazar in the 58th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Pinho got free with Alexandre Dias in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Chaveiral FC's Iwan Laba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alexandre Dias. Alexandre Dias yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 75th of the match, Gilberto Eliazar tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Alexandre Dias got in the way and made a wonderful save. Simão Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Barbosa in the 81st minute of play. Simão Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Amorim in the 84th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Chaveiral FC's Daniel Cabral got a free kick in the 85th minute. Iwan Labas short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Alexandre Dias to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Iwan Laba in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexandre Dias, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Chaveiral FC's Simão Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Santos in the 93rd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
