Palmiro Valverde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Carlos Cunha made a huge save. In the 32nd minute, Sálvio Bento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Júlio Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pascoal Junqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Dias in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Marco Cordeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ARD Coronado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Tamente the free kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

ARD Coronado's Pascoal Junqueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save ARD Coronado from getting a goal against them. Guilherme Santiago's late challenge caught a SC Tamente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guilherme Santiago helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in ARD Coronado fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! Fernando Torres placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! A collision led to ARD Coronado getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Aristides Castelo Branco hit a great ball. Pascoal Junqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aristides Castelo Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, ARD Coronado's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Dias came free, but Pascoal Junqueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Leite got his second yellow card in the match during the 70th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 92 minutes into the game, Filipe Reis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Pascoal Junqueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, SC Tamente's Ricardo Gonçalves got a free kick in the 98th minute.
