Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rui Fagundes got the match started through his kick off. In the 35th minute, Rui Fagundes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Romeu SL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Sebastião Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Saldanha having to interfere. Duarte Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Magalhães in the 47th minute of the match.

Carnide made a substitution. Paulo Martins replaced Tiago Coelho. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastião Magalhães to make the kick off. If Rui Fagundes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Carnide's zone, Virgílio Menezes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carnide's Claudinho Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Carnide from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute Romeu SL were awarded a corner. Joaquim Cavaco went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Rui Fagundes to score against Claudinho Velloso in Carnide's goal. 0-3 after 69 minutes. When the match was over Romeu SL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Carnide throughout the match.
