A hard shot 7 in the game by Rubim Viegas from a close distance when the talented Estevão Seixas managed to make a qualified save. SC Amoroso's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Osvaldo Baía managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Gravanco's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Baía was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Estevão Seixas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 12 minutes on the clock, Carlos Valente commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Amoroso fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! Alcino Reis shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 18th minute of the match, Rubim Viegas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Estevão Seixas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Rubim Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rubim Viegas got free with Estevão Seixas in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26thth minute of the game Lourenço Azeredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Amoroso's Estevão Seixas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rubim Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 43rd minute, Rubim Viegas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Regueira in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jesualdo Maia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rubim Viegas got free with Estevão Seixas in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Romão Cesário fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estevão Seixas having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Lourenço Azeredo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Estevão Seixas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 64 played minutes SC Gravanco got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Baía. Ivan Regueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesualdo Maia having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubim Viegas in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Estevão Seixas saved SC Amoroso from getting behind. If Rubim Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 75 minutes of play, SC Gravanco's Lourenço Azeredo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Estevão Seixas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rubim Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estevão Seixas having to interfere. Estevão Seixas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lourenço Azeredo in the 81st minute of play. Ivan Regueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Jesualdo Maia made a huge save. Estevão Seixas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubim Viegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rubim Viegas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Estevão Seixas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Joel Trindade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Amoroso and the SC Gravanco players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Rubim Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC Gravanco fully deserved thier win.
