Wilson Horta kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, SC Argea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Costa to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, SC Argea's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Mendes came free, but Cássio Corte-Real reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21stth minute of the game Ademar Brites who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Argea's Cássio Corte-Real was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar Brites in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cássio Corte-Real saved SC Argea from getting behind. Jairo Sacadura kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Cássio Corte-Real stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ademar Brites's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Rui Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cássio Corte-Real tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cássio Corte-Real showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Brites in the 39th minute of the match. Adérito Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Argea's Ricardo Mascarenhas got a free kick in the 47th minute. Geraldo Toscano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 53 played minutes Vitória de Setúbal got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Taveira. After having played for 57 minutes, André Abrantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vitória de Setúbal's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Abrantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 67 minutes, Ademar Brites managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vitória de Setúbal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ademar Brites was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vitória de Setúbal's goalkeeper Marcos Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, SC Argea's goalkeeper Cássio Corte-Real had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Mendes. In the 85th match minute, SC Argea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Branco to maneuver through the defense. Adérito Morais blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Porto having to make a save. Juliano Brandão kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Marcos Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Azenha, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vitória de Setúbal's goalkeeper Marcos Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amadeu Taveira charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amadeu Taveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vitória de Setúbal getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Amadeu Taveira hit a great ball. SC Argea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Flávio Azenha in the 100th minute. Flávio Azenha made a great header on SC Argea's corner, it was just that Vitória de Setúbal's Marcos Porto managed to reach the ball for a save. When the final whistle sounded Vitória de Setúbal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Argea.
