Caetano Campos might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timóteo Soares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Campos ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Aguias FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Olavo Camacho hit a great ball. Timóteo Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timóteo Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Casado in the 26th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Casado in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timóteo Soares saved CD Ariosa from getting behind. In the 32nd minute, Enzo Baião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute, Belchior Baião left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aguias FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Caetano Campos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timóteo Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Caetano Campos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Timóteo Soares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Aguias FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caetano Campos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 60 played minutes CD Ariosa got a freekick which was hit by Teófilo Pádua. Aguias FC's Joaquim Casado got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Enzo Baião had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogério Torres. Aguias FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enzo Baião was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 78 minutes into the match, CD Ariosa's goalkeeper Timóteo Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Casado. If Caetano Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Aguias FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Baião came free, but Rogério Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, CD Ariosa's Teófilo Pádua got a free kick in the 89th minute. A collision led to CD Ariosa getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Durval Pais hit a great ball. A hard shot by Mariano Abrantes from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Timóteo Soares's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Aguias FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
