Henrique Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Eurico Rios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Gladiadores FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Aguiar. Gusmão Barcelos charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gusmão Barcelos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute, Gusmão Barcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adélio Morais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martinho Guerreiro in the 19th minute of the match. Martinho Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Adélio Morais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gladiadores FC's Afonso Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gladiadores FC's Eurico Rios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Assunção in the 33rd minute of play. If Leonardo Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Gladiadores FC booed when SC Cascais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gusmão Barcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Luís Mourato got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adélio Morais quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Afonso Aguiar made the kick off in the second half. Afonso Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martinho Guerreiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70thth minute of the game Leonardo Braga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gladiadores FC's Eurico Rios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 73 minutes, Afonso Valente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Cascais and the Gladiadores FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Gladiadores FC a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luís Mourato, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Cascais's Adélio Morais. 0-1. Martinho Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Semedo during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gladiadores FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Luís Semedo hit a great ball. Eurico Rios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Assunção in the 91st minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, SC Cascais's Henrique Assunção made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eurico Rios was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 97 played minutes Gladiadores FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Leitão. If Leonardo Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 102nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
