The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rui Ferreira was the one to do the kick off. Marco Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Gemieira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Matos came free, but Marco Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Coelho in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Ferreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute, Vicente Martins made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Costa. Mira FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 63 minutes into the match, Jorge Sá had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Ferreira. Gemieira FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Sá was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Rui Ferreira took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Fernando Costa to make any attempt to save it. In the 72nd minute Afonso Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Carlos Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mira FC's protests and gave Carlos Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mira FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Carlos Carvalho hit a great ball. Ian Dalkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Fernando Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Ferreira's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute of the match Carlos Carvalho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Ferreira skillfully saved the ball. In the 96th play minute Vicente Martins came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fernando Costa. 1-4. Gemieira FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
