Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aprígio Pádua took the kick off in the first half of the match. Aprígio Pádua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Quintas having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Lousada in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Quintas saved Mortena from getting behind. When Luís Lousada came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Cever FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Lousada couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute, Cever FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ilídio Espírito Santo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Luís Lousada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cever FC's Aprígio Pádua in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mortena's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mortena's zone, Aprígio Pádua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Quintas came out of the goal and Aprígio Pádua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26thth minute of the game Aprígio Pádua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mortena's Francisco Quintas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Francisco Quintas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aprígio Pádua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Lousada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Francisco Quintas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Cever FC's Nicolau Ventura broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Aprígio Pádua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ilídio Espírito Santo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Eduardo Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mortena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Luís Lousada came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Cever FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Lousada couldn't finish the play. Aprígio Pádua struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Francisco Quintas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cever FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Lousada got free with Francisco Quintas in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 80 minutes, Cândido Mansilha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cever FC and the Mortena players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cever FC's Cândido Mansilha got a free kick in the 80th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aprígio Pádua in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Quintas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caetano Póvoas charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caetano Póvoas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Caetano Póvoas kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Aprígio Pádua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 87 played minutes Cever FC got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Gaspar. Francisco Quintas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. After a rather tough play, Cever FC's Aprígio Pádua got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Cever FC were furious when Honorato Gaspar was red carded, 97 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cever FC! Cever FC:s Basílio Ramalho showed great skill when he stopped Pedro Leal:s penalty. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cever FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
