The supporters of Ermezinde FC booed when Servo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Lessa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Diogo Guarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute, Diogo Guarda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Caiado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, Paulo Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of António Cabral. Ermezinde FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 35 played minutes Ermezinde FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Campos. After 43 played minutes, Ermezinde FC's Rafael Dias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Danilo Caiado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ermezinde FC reached it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Micael Branco to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Campos during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
