Alcains™'s Filipe Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Abrantes in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, SC Mealha's Plácido Casado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filipe Pinheiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Tião Fantini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Aldo Vale made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tião Fantini got free with Aldo Vale in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ivo Valido fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Mealha's protests and gave Ivo Valido a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, SC Mealha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Valido to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the match, Cristiano Jesus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aldo Vale saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Filipe Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Valido in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Alcains™'s zone, Gastão Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Pinheiro came out of the goal and Gastão Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, SC Mealha's goalkeeper Aldo Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tião Fantini. In the 39th minute, Bruno Brás reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aldo Vale. The goal made the score 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Abrantes to strike the kick off in the second half. Tião Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Vale having to interfere. Ivo Valido hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Cristiano Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Tião Fantini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aldo Vale was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. 63 minutes into the match, SC Mealha's goal looked a bit too open when Tião Fantini came free, but Aldo Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filipe Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Abrantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Aldo Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Alcains™ booed when SC Mealha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Valido didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4-2 became the score in the 96th minute when Gastão Freire elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Alcains™ had won after a very even match.
