After 47 played minutes Leomil got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Silveira. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Joaquim Silveira made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Leomil getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Laércio Souto hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Fernando Henriques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermenegildo Balsemão was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game.
