Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Casa76's Paulino Domingues in the 16th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Diamantino Aguiar was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Monfirre through an amazing save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Domingues in the 21st minute of play forced Monfirre's goalkeeper Diamantino Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Gusmão having to interfere. Jorge Gusmão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Jorge Gusmão managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Monfirre's Eusébio Nunes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 67th minute Paulino Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Casa76's Noel Carrasqueira tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Paulino Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
