Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Simão Matos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. sc montanelas's Cláudio Aveiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Matos in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to sc montanelas getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Cristóvão Paiva hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Carrazedelo's Adelino Guerreiro tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 20 minutes of play, Carrazedelo's João Henriques made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cláudio Aveiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 25 minutes into the match, sc montanelas's Laurentino Campos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Viana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute, João Henriques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio Aveiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cláudio Aveiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Henriques in the 33rd minute of the match. After 41 played minutes sc montanelas got a freekick which was hit by Laurentino Campos. 46 minutes into the match, sc montanelas's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Matos came free, but Cláudio Aveiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurentino Campos to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Carrazedelo's zone, Horácio Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Viana came out of the goal and Horácio Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If João Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, sc montanelas's Laurentino Campos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Viana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Horácio Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horácio Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Viana having to interfere. If João Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 88th minute, João Henriques fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Carrazedelo booed when sc montanelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was a well-played corner which Heitor Viana managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.
