In the 19th minute, one of Mourelo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mourelo. The referee gave Pereiros a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Filinto Matos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mourelo's Hilário Sequeira. 1-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mourelo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pereiros.
