Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hermenegildo Espírito Santo started the match with the kick off. Rui Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Homero Zarco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesário Brochado in the 6th minute of the match. A collision led to Cavalinhos FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Adolfo Brás hit a great ball. Catarino Brito struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Homero Zarco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cavalinhos FC. Carlos Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute, Cavalinhos FC's Fernando Rocha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Rui Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavalinhos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Homero Zarco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute Fernando Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Homero Zarco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Catarino Britos short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Homero Zarco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mariano Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermenegildo Espírito Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to Cavalinhos FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. David Paiva hit a great ball. If Catarino Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesário Brochado in the 39th minute of play forced Cavalinhos FC's goalkeeper Mariano Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes in the game, Carlos Andrade fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Homero Zarco having to interfere. Mariano Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesário Brochado in the 42nd minute of the match. Cavalinhos FC's Carlos Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Catarino Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Homero Zarco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Andrade in the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Catarino Brito made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cavalinhos FC's zone, Cesário Brochado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Aguiar came out of the goal and Cesário Brochado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cesário Brochado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Pereiros's Amadeu Sobral got a free kick in the 64th minute. Pereiros's Homero Zarco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Teixeira in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the Pereiros defense, Carlos Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Homero Zarco. The Pereiros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Homero Zarco should have stopped the shot. Alexandre Marinho charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Marinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Alexandre Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cavalinhos FC's Catarino Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th match minute, Pereiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teófilo Ávila to maneuver through the defense. Cavalinhos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
