In the 4th minute of the match Jairo Flores shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustavo Matias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Fundação Hugo Gama fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Fundação Hugo Gama's Gonçalo Guterres looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Avelino Barroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Ferro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Vítor Mourato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Avelino Barroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Ferro in the 16th minute of the match. Santiago Sacramento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gustavo Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Sacramento in the 29th minute of play forced Truejak FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Matias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, one of Truejak FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Truejak FC. The referee gave Fundação Hugo Gama a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dimas Assis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Truejak FC's Gustavo Matias. 0-2. Adolfo Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avelino Barroso having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Eusébio Ferro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Eusébio Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Eusébio Ferro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avelino Barroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Ferro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Avelino Barroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Ferro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusébio Ferro scored 2-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Avelino Barroso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eusébio Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Avelino Barroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Avelino Barroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Luz in the 77th minute of the match. Artur Morais hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Gonçalo Guterres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avelino Barroso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Luz in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Truejak FC booed when Fundação Hugo Gama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Mourato didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Eusébio Ferro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Avelino Barroso. Fundação Hugo Gama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Ferro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Eusébio Ferro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Avelino Barroso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Eusébio Ferro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Avelino Barroso having to make a save. A collision led to Fundação Hugo Gama getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jairo Flores hit a great ball. Truejak FC's Fábio Barros was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Avelino Barroso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Truejak FC had won after a very even match.
