Tabua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Bento Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alfouvez's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute, Oliveira Ferreira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manuel Azevedo. The goal made the score 1-0. Adolfo Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Araújo in the 20th minute of play forced Alfouvez's goalkeeper Adolfo Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bento Pinho went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Manuel Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliveira Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Tabua FC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Simões. 33 minutes into the game, Jorge Setúbal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tabua FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alfouvez the free kick. A long shot from José Gonçalves in the 34th minute of play was well struck, but Manuel Azevedo made a really good save at the right post. 43 minutes into the game, Alexandre Araújo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Adolfo Freitas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emílio Domingues hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Alfouvez's José Gonçalves couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tabua FC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simão Andrade made a kick off. Oliveira Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Azevedo having to interfere. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Oliveira Ferreira sped through Tabua FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manuel Azevedo. Oliveira Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Manuel Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
