Tomás Sales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octávio lago having to interfere. After 8 minutes, Gastão Lamego mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shurima and the Cavalinhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gastão Lamego kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. A hard shot 9 in the game by Tomás Sales from a close distance when the talented Octávio lago managed to make a qualified save. Shurima's players were relieved. After having played for 41 minutes, Wilson Carvalhal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cavalinhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilson Carvalhal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caio Sobral to strike the kick off in the second half. Albérico Durães hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. When Rogério Sardinha fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shurima's protests and gave Rogério Sardinha a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Shurima got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Sardinha. Cavalinhos were victorious despite being under pressure from Shurima for much of the match.
