When Simão Setúbal fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SANTA JUSTA FC's protests and gave Simão Setúbal a yellow card for diving instead. Mariano Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazım Özgenay, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Rafael Aleixo put in a rough tackle. A collision led to SANTA JUSTA FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Rafael Aleixo hit a great ball. Emiliano Shantala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Mariano Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Barros in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazım Özgenay in the 48th minute of play forced SANTA JUSTA FC's goalkeeper Mariano Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Mário Monteiro came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by SANTA JUSTA FC's Alexandre Assis. But to his dismay, Alexandre Assis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Mariano Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Abel Barros sent off a good shot on target. Abel Barros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mariano Nascimento came out and tried to block the shot, but Abel Barros slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 86th minute.
