Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Humberto Faro made the kick off which started today's match. Joel Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Vítor Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusébio Faro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Vidal's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Humberto Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Lisboa having to interfere. Artur Dantas hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. With a little luck, LX GALAXY's Vítor Lisboa got control of the ball when Joel Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 17 played minutes LX GALAXY got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Leite. After 18 minutes, Vítor Leite mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mangoeiros and the LX GALAXY players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Mangoeiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Leite to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Armando Jesus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusébio Faro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Mangoeiros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arturo Vidal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mangoeiros's goalkeeper Eusébio Faro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Jesus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Joel Porto came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Mangoeiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Porto couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by LX GALAXY's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alexandre Rodrigues was slow to take the kick. During this time Mangoeiros's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mangoeiros's corner Alexandre Rodrigues fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vítor Lisboa quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Mangoeiros's Eusébio Faro got control of the ball when Arturo Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Armando Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Jesus in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusébio Faro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute, Arturo Vidal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LX GALAXY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Arturo Vidal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Eusébio Faro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Jesus in the 78th minute of play forced Mangoeiros's goalkeeper Eusébio Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 minutes, André Moutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mangoeiros and the LX GALAXY players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 played minutes Mangoeiros got a freekick which was hit by André Moutinho. Miguel Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Armando Jesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Eusébio Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, LX GALAXY's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Faro came free, but Vítor Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over LX GALAXY could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mangoeiros throughout the match.
