Laércio Raminhos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Seixas in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Santarém saved SC Senhorinha from getting behind. Jorge Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laércio Raminhos having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Nicolau Malheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mosteirinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolau Malheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Mosteirinho's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Brás came free, but Laércio Raminhos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nicolau Malheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Nunes in the 48th minute of play forced Mosteirinho's goalkeeper Laércio Raminhos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Nunes to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicolau Malheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Pedro Santarém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Nunes in the 71st minute of play forced Mosteirinho's goalkeeper Laércio Raminhos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Brás's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laércio Raminhos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Simão Seixas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd match minute, Mosteirinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Éder Gameiro to maneuver through the defense. Claudemiro Sequeira hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Jorge Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Senhorinha's zone, Nicolau Malheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Santarém came out of the goal and Nicolau Malheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
