After 7 minutes, David Arruda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alderete FC and the SC People players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nuno Oliveira placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! SC People's attack was well implemented in the 9th minute, but when Mattias Björkdahl was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. SC People's Epifanio Erosa got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristóvão Semedo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olívio Onofre in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Mota saved SC People from getting behind. Miguel Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olívio Onofre in the 24th minute of play. Valentim Carmo's late challenge caught a SC People's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentim Carmo helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Alderete FC got a freekick which was hit by Valentim Carmo. After 28 played minutes SC People got a freekick which was hit by Bento Rocha. SC People's Miguel Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio Onofre in the 31st minute of play. Mattias Björkdahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Isidoro Menezes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Mattias Björkdahl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Alderete FC's Ronaldo Serpa got a free kick in the 42nd minute. João Aleixo struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Isidoro Menezes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC People. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

With a left leg Isidoro Menezes saved Alderete FC from getting behind. Valentim Carmo got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Valentim Carmo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 58 minutes, Mattias Björkdahl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC People's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mattias Björkdahl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olívio Onofre struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Miguel Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alderete FC. Isidoro Menezes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Erosa in the 69th minute of the match. Isidoro Menezes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Björkdahl in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, SC People's goalkeeper Miguel Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olívio Onofre. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacob Saraiva during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alderete FC's Jacob Saraiva got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 79 played minutes, SC People's João Aleixo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Isidoro Menezes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC People reached it. After having played for 80 minutes, Pedro Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC People's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SC People getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Gaspar Fonseca hit a great ball. Alderete FC's Isidoro Menezes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Oliveira in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olívio Onofre got free with Miguel Mota in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 92 minutes of play, SC People's Gaspar Fonseca made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isidoro Menezes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Epifanio Erosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isidoro Menezes having to make a save. SC People's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
