If Isac Gama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th match minute, Safarujo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Leal to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Gaspar Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vendinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Regalado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Regalado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaspar Gomes went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Jacinto Regalado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Afonso Branco. In the 31st minute, Amadeu Mota made a precise shot to the right of Rui Oliveira. Vendinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Noel Malafaia charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
