If Cristiano Severiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romão Pádua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Palha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Palha might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romão Pádua. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Palha ran back to his position shaking his head. Ratos FC's Joaquim Palha got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentim Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Romão Pádua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ratos FC's Noel Assis got a free kick in the 19th minute. Cristiano Severiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Álvares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucílio Frois during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Ratos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucílio Frois to maneuver through the defense. Romão Pádua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Palha, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Lucílio Frois fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romão Pádua having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Palha in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romão Pádua saved Nabais from getting behind. Gastão Ferreira hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 79th match minute, Ratos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucílio Frois to maneuver through the defense. Fabiano Noronha kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Gil Álvares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristiano Severiano in the 85th minute. Joaquim Palha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Carvalhal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 96 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the game, one of Ratos FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Nabais. Isidro Silveira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gil Álvares. 4-2. After a rather tough play, Nabais's Reinaldo Júdice got a free kick in the 102nd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ratos FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nabais had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
