After a defensive mix-up in Amieira's zone, Eduardo Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julião Vieira came out of the goal and Eduardo Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pinduradouro FC's Eduardo Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúcio Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Lúcio Cunha successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bruno Lopes made the kick off in the second half. Emílio Leiria's late challenge caught a Pinduradouro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emílio Leiria helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Lopes got free with Julião Vieira in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Pinduradouro FC booed when Amieira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Leiria didn't get a good kick on the ball.
