The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Gervásio Melo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torcato Ferro was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Porfírio Fidalgo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blackopps's supporters rose to their feet, but Porfírio Fidalgo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeferino Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Zeferino Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Fraga struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Zeferino Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blackopps. When Porfírio Fidalgo came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Blackopps fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Porfírio Fidalgo couldn't finish the play. Yuri Raposo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Torcato Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuri Raposo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Blackopps's zone, Eliseu Candal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torcato Ferro came out of the goal and Eliseu Candal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Candal in the 33rd minute of play forced Blackopps's goalkeeper Torcato Ferro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuri Raposo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torcato Ferro having to interfere. After 39 minutes of play, Eskimokas's Eliseu Candal made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Torcato Ferro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yuri Raposo made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Eliseu Candal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Eskimokas's Yuri Raposo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Torcato Ferro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Candal got free with Torcato Ferro in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Peralta didn't quite understand what happened when in the 66 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Blackopps's Vicente Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Blackopps's zone, Eliseu Candal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torcato Ferro came out of the goal and Eliseu Candal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentim Paixão during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Blackopps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentim Paixão to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Raposo in the 85th minute of play forced Blackopps's goalkeeper Torcato Ferro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eskimokas's Eliseu Candal in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Zeferino Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Eskimokas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
