Zacarias Calheiros was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Nestor Rozarius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Areoza's Américo Silva got control of the ball when Fernando Caneira tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Areoza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cândido Vaz to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Paulo Vasques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80thth minute of the game Nestor Rozarius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Adoria's Alexandre Regalado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Corte-Real in the 89th minute of play forced Areoza's goalkeeper Américo Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Regalado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Rozarius in the 91st minute of the match. Américo Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Corte-Real in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Areoza's goalkeeper Américo Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Vasques. Areoza walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
