A collision led to SC Gualdim getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Fábio Tavares hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Arcozelo FC's Filipe Pinhal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Arcozelo FC's goalkeeper Santiago Júdice had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basílio Torres. In the 20th match minute, Arcozelo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Balsemão to maneuver through the defense. Basílio Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, SC Gualdim's Carlos Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santiago Júdice narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dimas Modesto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes, Sérgio Festas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arcozelo FC and the SC Gualdim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basílio Torres in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Júdice prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santiago Júdice made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Abreu in the 62nd minute of play. Santiago Júdice didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Basílio Torres went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When Basílio Torres came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the SC Gualdim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Torres couldn't finish the play. The attack was good, but when Basílio Torres in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Santiago Júdice took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laureano Neves hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Santiago Júdice showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Gualdim had played much better football throughout.
