Vilgateira FC's Paulo Malafaia got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alcides Taborda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, SC Beijos's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Magalhães came free, but Alcides Taborda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Alcides Taborda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Ronaldo Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Beijos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronaldo Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Aparício Trigueiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Beijos's supporters rose to their feet, but Aparício Trigueiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juliano Santiago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ronaldo Brito came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the SC Beijos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Brito couldn't finish the play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when SC Beijos's Aparício Trigueiro in the 46th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Juliano Santiago was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Vilgateira FC through an amazing save.

When Ronaldo Brito came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the SC Beijos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Brito couldn't finish the play. If Paulo Malafaia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Malafaia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alcides Taborda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Paulo Malafaia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Beijos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vilgateira FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
