After 19 minutes of play, BOLI's Vicente Maia made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leal Granja was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute Vítor Ronaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leal Granja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, BOLI's Vicente Maia made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leal Granja was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Canibais's zone, Vítor Ronaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leal Granja came out of the goal and Vítor Ronaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Idalécio Carrasqueira fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canibais's protests and gave Idalécio Carrasqueira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of BOLI booed when Canibais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Idalécio Carrasqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Leal Granja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vítor Ronaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Maia in the 35th minute of play forced Canibais's goalkeeper Leal Granja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diamantino Azenha got free with Enrico Petricca in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vítor Ronaldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leal Granja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vítor Ronaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vítor Ronaldo in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leal Granja prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Ronaldo in the 44th minute of play forced Canibais's goalkeeper Leal Granja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the game, Álvaro Borba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BOLI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canibais the free kick. After 49 played minutes BOLI got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Borba. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vítor Ronaldo made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vítor Ronaldo in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leal Granja saved Canibais from getting behind. Diamantino Azenha took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrico Petricca. Enrico Petricca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Diamantino Azenha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrico Petricca having to interfere. In the 96th minute, BOLI's Vítor Ronaldo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leal Granja. Leal Granja yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. The Canibais fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BOLI were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
