Spectators: 7297 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexandre Couto started the match with the kick off. ZionFC's Domingos Noronha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save ZionFC from getting a goal against them. After 6 minutes ZionFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mário Amorim who took care of the corner kick. F.C.United's Mário Amorim was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Domingos Noronha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in ZionFC's zone, Pedro Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Noronha came out of the goal and Pedro Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 9 minutes, Cristiano Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C.United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute, Miguel Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Domingos Noronha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. When Pedro Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the F.C.United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Lopes couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Domingos Noronha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind ZionFC's goalkeeper Domingos Noronha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. ZionFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Cristiano Moura scored to the left of an out of position Domingos Noronha, making the score, 1-0. Pedro Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandre Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Coelho having to interfere. In the 32nd play minute Pedro Lopes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Domingos Noronha. 2-0. In the 36th minute, ZionFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristiano Moura fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pedro Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Pedro Lopes made the kick off in the second half. João Coelho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Normando Quintanilha in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Cristiano Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domingos Noronha. ZionFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristiano Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Alex Mourato hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Cristiano Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Noronha having to interfere. Cristiano Moura might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domingos Noronha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristiano Moura ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 72 minutes, Pedro Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C.United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Branco during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to F.C.United getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Rodrigo Branco hit a great ball. João Coelho acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 77th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sidónio Sarmento. In the 81st match minute, F.C.United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armindo Amorim to maneuver through the defense.
