Spectators: 6823 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Filinto Anjos took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd match minute, SC Vairao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Leite to maneuver through the defense. Janko Timotijević received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cândido Macena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Vairao's Alberto Monteiro got a free kick in the 15th minute. Xavier Trindade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregório Moutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 19 played minutes SC Vairao got a freekick which was hit by Rui Veiga. SC Vairao's Xavier Trindade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filinto Anjos in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Vairao's Alexandre Coimbra got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Manuel Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Janko Timotijević managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Vairao's supporters rose to their feet, but Janko Timotijević was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Janko Timotijević was the one to do the kick off. Xavier Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filinto Anjos in the 63rd minute of play. Janko Timotijević's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Cândido Macena skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Ivan Curado fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Janko Timotijević ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to SC Vairao getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Janko Timotijević hit a great ball. Janko Timotijević sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tyron Pepe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cândido Macena having to make a save. In the 93rd minute Janko Timotijević shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Macena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cândido Macena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Janko Timotijević in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. VR Eagles fully deserved thier win.
