Aurelio Fernanco made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 15thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Quintino Vilanova would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 16 minutes into the game, Adolfo Gonçalves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Quintino Vilanova. Adolfo Gonçalves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evandro Viegas during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Os Piratinhas getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Evandro Viegas hit a great ball. In the 26thth minute of the game Aurelio Fernanco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Os Piratinhas's Quintino Vilanova was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Evandro Viegas was shown his second yellow card after 28 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 28th minute, Evandro Viegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 30 played minutes Os Piratinhas got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Corte-Real. 34 minutes into the match, NN BOYS's Aurelio Fernanco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quintino Vilanova narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of NN BOYS booed when Os Piratinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quintino Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Os Piratinhas's zone, Aurelio Fernanco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quintino Vilanova came out of the goal and Aurelio Fernanco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quintino Vilanova showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Fernanco in the 42nd minute of the match. NN BOYS's Aurelio Fernanco came free and shot a quick shot against goal 43 minutes in the game, fortunately Quintino Vilanova had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The supporters of NN BOYS booed when Os Piratinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rúben Caetano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quintino Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lucas Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelio Fernanco was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Fernanco in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Quintino Vilanova prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Quintino Vilanova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Fernanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Quintino Vilanova stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Fernanco's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Quintino Vilanova showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Gonçalves in the 60th minute of the match. Quintino Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After 63 minutes of play Os Piratinhas's Quintino Saraiva was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 64 played minutes Os Piratinhas got a freekick which was hit by Quintino Saraiva. 65 minutes into the match, Os Piratinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Fernanco came free, but Quintino Vilanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quintino Vilanova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Fernanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Borba couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Adolfo Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. NN BOYS's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quintino Vilanova breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, Os Piratinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Fernanco came free, but Quintino Vilanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurelio Fernanco might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Quintino Vilanova. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aurelio Fernanco ran back to his position shaking his head. Adolfo Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quintino Vilanova having to interfere.
