Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Paulino Pinheiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Luís Sacramento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Fernando Pimentel notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Águias da Avenida's Cândido Domingues. Cândido Domingues was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th match minute, Águias da Avenida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Cândido Domingues made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Fernando Pimentel sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute of the match, Paulino Pinheiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cândido Domingues saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Águias da Avenida's Cândido Domingues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Águias da Avenida from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Vasco Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Águias da Avenida's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasco Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Sacramento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Penedo's Luís Sacramento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Costa in the 29th minute of play. Cândido Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Portugal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes Penedo got a freekick which was hit by Valentim Branco. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Cândido Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Portugal, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Afonso Portugal hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Vasco Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Filipe Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Pimentel in the 86th minute of play forced Águias da Avenida's goalkeeper Cândido Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cândido Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Pinheiro in the 87th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Penedo's zone, Vasco Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Sacramento came out of the goal and Vasco Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Águias da Avenida's Filipe Martins in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Penedo's goalie prevented a goal. If Valentim Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Águias da Avenida players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Penedo.
