An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Amaral in the 29th minute of play forced Marmeleira City's goalkeeper Miguel Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Joaquim Guerreiro made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Esteves. Marmeleira City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If João Vilarinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mauro Calçada made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Marmeleira City's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Amaral came free, but Miguel Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, FC kim 9 dedos's Jorge Maia seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jorge Maia the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC kim 9 dedos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jorge Maia had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of FC kim 9 dedos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Marmeleira City:s goal. Alexandre Brito had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Angélico Monsanto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Sandro Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Esteves. Marmeleira City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandro Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 70th minute, Angélico Monsanto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 played minutes João Vilarinho rounded FC kim 9 dedos's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-1. Marmeleira City's Miguel Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Amaral in the 75th minute of play. After 77 minutes Marmeleira City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sandro Amaral who took care of the corner kick. Rafael Madeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Alexandre Brito made a huge save. A collision led to Marmeleira City getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Zeferino Manso hit a great ball. There was no doubt that FC kim 9 dedos were the better team. FC kim 9 dedos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
