In the 5th minute Manuel Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leal Gueifão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes Clube Atlético Odivelas got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Coelho. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atlético Odivelas's zone, Nuno Leal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leal Gueifão came out of the goal and Nuno Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermano Padilha in the 17th minute of play forced FC INTER's goalkeeper Nuno Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sandro Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Atlético Odivelas's protests and gave Sandro Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Clube Atlético Odivelas getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Sandro Furtado hit a great ball. Nuno Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leal Gueifão having to interfere. If Carlos Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th match minute, Clube Atlético Odivelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leal Gueifão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Leal in the 35th minute of play. Leal Gueifão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nuno Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Leal Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Rafael Portugal made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Figueiredo. FC INTER's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Braga during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuno Leal made a kick off. Sandro Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Nuno Figueiredo made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Leal in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leal Gueifão saved Clube Atlético Odivelas from getting behind. Leal Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Leal in the 62nd minute of the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Manuel Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC INTER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Aleixo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nuno Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute of the match, Rafael Portugal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nuno Figueiredo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The throw-in from Armindo Semedo in the 69th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC INTER's Lourenço Martins. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Nuno Leal put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Leal Gueifão. 74 minutes in the game Máximo Velasques did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Álvaro Bessa. After 75 played minutes FC INTER got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Brito. Máximo Velasques made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC INTER's Manuel Aleixo. A collision led to Clube Atlético Odivelas getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Rodolfo Coelho hit a great ball. Nuno Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro Furtado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Álvaro Bessa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC INTER walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
