Roberto Rebelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute Olívio Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentim Infante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Canenhos FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Laureano Raposo hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Canenhos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olívio Matos came free, but Valentim Infante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Rebelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laureano Igrejas's late challenge caught a Canenhos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laureano Igrejas helped the player get up and apologised. 27 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Caeiro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of doucuzinho's Delfim Liberato. Delfim Liberato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Palmiro Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Valentim Infante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfim Liberato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubim Pinto in the 34th minute of the match. Valentim Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Rebelo in the 36th minute of play. Delfim Liberato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41stth minute of the game Olívio Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but doucuzinho's Delfim Liberato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Roberto Rebelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roberto Rebelo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Roberto Rebelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. doucuzinho's Roberto Rebelo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olívio Matos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentim Infante having to make a save. 60 minutes into the match, Canenhos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Rebelo came free, but Valentim Infante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Rebelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentim Infante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roberto Rebelo ran back to his position shaking his head. Palmiro Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentim Infante didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Rebelo went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Canenhos FC's zone, Roberto Rebelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentim Infante came out of the goal and Roberto Rebelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Palmiro Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentim Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adérito Valente in the 87th minute of the match. Valentim Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adérito Valente in the 90th minute of play. Roberto Rebelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Canenhos FC's zone, Roberto Rebelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentim Infante came out of the goal and Roberto Rebelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chants of Canenhos FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as doucuzinho had held the ball for most of the match.
