Egídio Portugal came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Kapa's Emílio Gaspar. But to his dismay, Emílio Gaspar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. António Mota made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Normando Fiúza sent off a good shot on target. Egídio Portugal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Gaspar in the 21st minute of the match. If Gonçalo Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cândido Sardinha in the 28th minute of play forced Kapa's goalkeeper António Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Portugal having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Canados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gusmão Estrela to maneuver through the defense. Egídio Portugal came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Kapa's Emílio Gaspar. The Kapa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Egídio Portugal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Gaspar in the 44th minute of play. If Paulo Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emílio Gaspar to make the kick off. In the 52nd of the match, Gonçalo Lisboa tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Egídio Portugal got in the way and made a wonderful save. After some careless play in the Kapa defense, Normando Fiúza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Mota. Emílio Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Egídio Portugal made a huge save. Emílio Gaspar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Egídio Portugal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gonçalo Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Portugal having to interfere. When the match was over Kapa could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Canados throughout the match.
