To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucas Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Fábio Infante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aldo Câmara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vicente Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Manuel Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Vidal's Manuel Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Câmara in the 27th minute of play. Vicente Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, SC Vidal's goalkeeper Manuel Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Luz. Rodolfo Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Castro having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Aldo Câmara fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Manuel Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Câmara, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. If Vicente Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aldo Câmara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Albertino Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Vidal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albertino Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 61 minutes into the match, Vicente Luz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of SC Vidal's Manuel Castro. Manuel Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th minute, Lourenço Diegues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fábio Infante didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Brito went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Lucas Brito came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the SC Vidal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Brito couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Valadares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Vidal the free kick. Albertino Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 88 played minutes Luso got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Valadares. In the 90th minute, Lucas Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st match minute, Luso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Diegues to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes Albertino Barros could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-2 into the left cross. SC Vidal succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Luso had controlled the match.
