The supporters of Limp Football Academy booed when Valdeira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Barros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Celso Palha. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Joel Barros lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Celso Palha. Jorge Belo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Palha having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Joel Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limp Football Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Palha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Valdeira FC's zone, Jorge Belo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Palha came out of the goal and Jorge Belo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Palha having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Joel Barros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Celso Palha. Joel Barros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Belo got free with Celso Palha in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Belo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Celso Palha made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Valdeira FC's zone, Martinho Borba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Palha came out of the goal and Martinho Borba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Palha having to interfere. Celso Palha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 49th minute, Ilídio Bernardes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hildeberto Pessoa was the one to do the kick off. If Dércio Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Joel Barros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Palha was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Celso Palha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Belo's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Norberto Palma was slow to take the kick. During this time Limp Football Academy's players had a chance to rest. Norberto Palma made a great header on Limp Football Academy's corner, it was just that Valdeira FC's Celso Palha managed to reach the ball for a save. Jorge Belo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
