In the 7th minute, Alexandre Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute, Pardinhas FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cláudio Ramos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Alexandre Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Fernando Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Hélder Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fernando Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. Oliveira Pires's late challenge caught a Pardinhas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliveira Pires helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes Rumeleira FC got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Pires. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Andrade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Fernando Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rumeleira FC's João Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Andrade in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Andrade in the 64th minute of play forced Rumeleira FC's goalkeeper João Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 played minutes Pardinhas FC got a freekick which was hit by Simão Faro. Pedro Pinheiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hélder Oliveira. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Sousa couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the game, Rumeleira FC's Cláudio Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hélder Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pardinhas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Rumeleira FC a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pedro Pinheiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pardinhas FC's Hélder Oliveira. 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rumeleira FC had won after a very even match.
