The referee ignored Coxos e Pernetas FC's protests and gave Alcino Ávila a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Coxos e Pernetas FC got a freekick which was hit by Alcino Ávila. Coxos e Pernetas FC's Torcato Bento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Resende in the 13th minute of play. Torcato Bento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cabos. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

But to his dismay, Germano Salgueiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 90 minutes into the match, Coxos e Pernetas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Viegas came free, but Torcato Bento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SC Cabos booed when Coxos e Pernetas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alcino Ávila didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Pedro Pinho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Coxos e Pernetas FC's Torcato Bento didn't even have to move. Alcino Ávila hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Pedro Pinho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 99th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
