Viriato Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Filinto Bettencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brancanes FC's goalkeeper Filinto Bettencourt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egídio Camacho during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Egídio Camacho kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. SC Bicesse's André Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romão Zambujal in the 26th minute of play. Joaquim Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filinto Bettencourt having to interfere. SC Bicesse's André Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romão Zambujal in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute Joaquim Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filinto Bettencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Brancanes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Magalhães came free, but Filinto Bettencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Brancanes FC's zone, Viriato Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filinto Bettencourt came out of the goal and Viriato Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When SC Bicesse's Joaquim Magalhães in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brancanes FC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Magalhães in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filinto Bettencourt saved Brancanes FC from getting behind. Filinto Bettencourt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viriato Amorim went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Filinto Bettencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Magalhães in the 58th minute of the match. If Romão Zambujal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Brancanes FC's Ivan Ribeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Vaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Amorim in the 80th minute of play forced Brancanes FC's goalkeeper Filinto Bettencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Viriato Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SC Bicesse's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
