Maurício Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gentil Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Leonardo Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cipreste FC's goalkeeper Nivaldo Fonseca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute Eusébio Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gentil Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Saldanha scored 1-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gentil Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Normando Regalado during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Normando Regalado hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Cipreste FC's Silvério Águas got a free kick in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Travassos in the 46th minute of play forced Cipreste FC's goalkeeper Nivaldo Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Maurício Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Gentil Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cipreste FC. In the 55th minute of the match, Cristiano Fidalgo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nivaldo Fonseca was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Eusébio Saldanha notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Mossamedes FC's Gentil Amaral. Gentil Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 59 minutes, Leonardo Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mossamedes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 73 minutes of play, Mossamedes FC's Cristiano Fidalgo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nivaldo Fonseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Maurício Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Cipreste FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. Normando Regalado got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Normando Regalado hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Maurício Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Gentil Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Jorge Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Saldanha in the 89th minute of play forced Mossamedes FC's goalkeeper Gentil Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurício Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd match minute, Cipreste FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Taveira to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Cipreste FC's zone, Cristiano Fidalgo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nivaldo Fonseca came out of the goal and Cristiano Fidalgo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
